Dear Customer,

Squiz wishes to notify you of urgent planned maintenance work being carried out on Squiz Cloud infrastructure that involves an elevated risk to your service on Squiz Cloud.

Date Starting: Sunday 19th July 2020

Maintenance Window: 19th July 20:00 PT - 20th July 04:00 PT

Location: Sacramento Data Centre


After an investigation of our Sacramento storage subsystem by the software vendor, a number of critical bugs have been identified. In order to remediate these, our vendor has recommended that we perform a number of software upgrades as soon as possible.

As our storage hardware is highly available the upgrade work is not expected to cause any downtime for your servers.

We will perform upgrades on the passive (inactive) node, then switch traffic over to this node only after the upgrade has been confirmed successful.

Predicted Impact:

We do not expect any downtime for your service during this work, however you may experience slower than normal performance for periods of up to 60 seconds during the above window as traffic is switched between nodes.
