Dear Customer,
SQUIZ wishes to notify you that a scheduled maintenance work will be carried out on Openresty webserver.
NOTE: This maintenance only impacts some US Matrix clients. All clients in question should have received email notifications of this work. If you have not received a notification, your services are not impacted.
Date: 14 September 2021 (US)
Maintenance Window Start: 19:00 PDT 14th September
Maintenance Window End: 20:00 PDT 14th September
Expected Duration: 60 minutes
Details: During the above maintenance window, Squiz will update openresty web server configuration template using our configuration management tool Puppet.
Impact: Squiz do not anticipate any outages/service degradation as this change has been thoroughly tested on all possible server configuration types, however, if for any unforeseeable reason the web server process shuts down / restarts, then the Matrix websites might be unavailable. The outage scenarios for Squiz Edge vs Non-Edge systems:
1. For clients utilising Edge and DR their solutions will automatically fail over to a READ ONLY DR instance(form submissions and site edits will be unavailable.)
2. For clients not utilising Edge and DR there will be downtime.
