Scheduled
NOTE: This maintenance only impacts Australian Squiz Cloud clients

Squiz wishes to notify you of planned maintenance work being carried out on Squiz Cloud infrastructure that involves an elevated risk for your service on Squiz Cloud.

Start Time: Sunday 27th September 2020 22:00 AEST
End Time:  Monday 28th September 2020 02:00 AEST
Location:   Globalswitch Data Centre (Sydney)

Predicted impact:

Your site will remain online and available through this work.

Details:

During the above maintenance window, Squiz will be applying the latest security and performance patches to our Sydney core network subsystem.

Specifically, these patches will address the following:

- Recently announced security vulnerabilities in router software
- Potential for network delays on receipt of high levels of specific layer 2 frames
- Network switch bug with the potential to impact performance due to mismatches between software and hardware tables.
- Early warning alerts of degraded network device RAM

Our core network is fully redundant, and only a single piece of equipment will be patched at a time. As devices are patched, traffic to your systems will automatically be diverted through an alternate path.
