Squiz UK Border Router Upgrades

Squiz wishes to notify you of planned maintenance work being carried out on Squiz Cloud infrastructure that involves a short impact on your service with Squiz Cloud.

Date Starting: Sunday 16th August 2020

Maintenance Window: 03:00 BST - 05:00 BST

Location: Ash and Newbury Data Centres (UK)


During the above maintenance window, Squiz staff will be applying important security updates to the border network routers which provide connectivity between Squiz Cloud and the Internet.

Predicted Impact:

During the upgrade work, traffic between Squiz Cloud sites and the Internet will automatically be re-routed via an alternate path.

While this process is normally seamless, there may be two instances of up to 15 minutes impact as traffic is re-routed.

For clients with Squiz Edge: Sites will remain online in read-only mode, however form submissions and site edits will be unavailable.

For clients without Squiz Edge: Sites will respond slowly, or return timeout errors.
